Getting into some Hospitality:

Hospitality is a new committee that falls between two established committees in our church: Fellowship (Ruth Barrasso – chairperson) and Evangelism and Discipleship (Diane Imbert – chairperson). Its purpose is to welcome people into our church, make them comfortable and reach out to them to share Jesus. One important area that the Hospitality Committee covers is to make sure we have Greeters, Ushers, and friendly faces that help visitors feel connected.

Some plans for the Hospitality Committee are creating Welcome packets/brochures for new visitors; making sure we have weekly Ushers and Greeters who are “our front line;” creating information resources such as the Hospitality table and bulletin board in the Chapel; and supporting both Fellowship and Evangelism/Discipleship as they plan new and exciting events in our church.

What you can do to help:

  1. Volunteer to be a Greeter (takes 15 minutes and a smiley face on Sunday mornings)
  2. Volunteer to be an Usher (seat people with the bulletin and take the offering on Sunday mornings)
  3. Share your Baking Talents! Every Sunday after service we have a coffee/ fellowship time in the Chapel to hangout and enjoy each other around baked goods that all are welcomed to volunteer to make/bring!
  4. Be a part of this new ministry and join the Hospitality Committee as we are looking for fresh, new ideas to help love on those who Jesus brings our way!
