Mission Satement

Our goal is to magnify Jesus as we embrace multiple age groups and generations, through a combination of contemporary and traditional forms of worship. Our mission is to engage, challenge and spread the Gospel of Christ’s sacrificial and transformational love.

The Bible

We believe Holy Scripture is the written word of God, inspired entirely by the Holy Spirit, sufficient to guide and govern The Church in all matters of faith and practice. Comprised of both the Old and New Testaments (66 canonical books), it is the revelation of God’s timeless truth and the whole of redemptive history of humanity as well as the hope of the return of Christ. The Holy Scripture is efficient and capable in and of itself to transform and replace the hearts of men and women to live in obedience to God. (Jer. 1:9; 1 Tim. 5:18; 1 Thess. 2:13; 2 Pet. 3:15-16)

The Trinity

We believe that there is one God; Who exists eternally in three distinct persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit; Who are each fully equal and fully God. They execute distinct but harmonious offices in the work of creation, providence, and redemption. (Deut. 6:4; Gal. 3:20; Gen. 1:1-3; 1 Cor. 8:4; Jn. 10:30; Col. 2:9; Hag. 2:5; Acts 5:3-4; Mt. 28:19; 1 Pet. 1:2; 2 Cor. 13:14)

God The Father

We believe God the Father is perfect and infinite in holiness, wisdom, power, and love. We believe that God the Father involves Himself mercifully in the affairs of men and women by the hearing and answering of their prayers. Also, that He saves from sin and death all who come to Him through faith in His Son. Finally, we believe God is Father of all those who are saved by His grace. (Jn 16:23-27; Gal 4:4-6; Eph 1:3; 17-23)

Jesus CHrist

We believe that Jesus Christ, the living Word, became flesh through His miraculous conception by the Holy Spirit and His virgin birth. He who is true God became true man united in one Person forever. He died on the cross a sacrifice for our sins according to the Scriptures. On the third day He arose bodily from the dead, ascended into heaven, where, at the right hand of the Majesty on High, He now is our High Priest and Mediator. (Matt 1:18-23, Lk 24:1-8; Jn 1:1,14; Acts 1:11; II Cor 5:19-21; I Tim 2:5; Heb 4:14-16; 7:24-25; I Jn 2:1; Rev. 19-20)

Holy Spirit

We believe the Holy Spirit has been given to glorify Jesus and to apply His saving work to the hearts of those who have received Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. He convicts the world of sin, righteousness and judgement and draws the elect to the Savior. Indwelling in hearts, He gives new life to believers, empowers and imparts gifts to them for service. As well as instructs and guides believers into all truth, and seals them for the day of redemption. (Matt 28:19; Jn 16:8; Acts 1:8; 5:3-4; 1 Cor 6:11; 19; 12:4-13; Eph 1:13, 14; 3:16; 4:1-16)

Sin

We believe that the fall of humanity has pervasively infected all mankind and all aspects of their being, rendering every man and woman guilty of sin, thus breaking the perfect harmony between God and person and between person and person. Thus, all men and women are guilty of sin, rendering them inexcusable and removing any independent means by which they can choose to do right, be right, and to be in the presence of the Holy and Perfect God. (Gen. 3; Rom. 1:18, 20; Rom. 3:9-11, 23; Eph. 2:1)

Salvation

We believe God gave His only Son so that all who trust in Him for salvation would not perish but receive eternal life. Jesus accomplished this through His perfect life, substutionary act of taking the penalty of death that mankind deserved, bearing their sin and absorbing God’s wrath, which extended the possibility of salvation for fallen humanity and securing salvation for the sake of the elect. We believe God’s grace is required for sin to be forgiven, that it is received through faith in Jesus Christ alone and that it is the result of the sovereign grace of God. We believe salvation produces life-change that is seen in the desire to live in obedience to God’s Word and see others come to know God’s salvation. (Jn. 3:16; Rom. 5:19; Mt. 5:17; 1 Cor. 1:30; Heb. 9:26; Rom. 5:6, 8; 1 Cor. 5:7; 15:3; Ps. 22; Rom. 3:25-26; 5:9; 1 Jn. 4:10; Acts 13:48; Eph. 5:25-27)

Church

We believe the Church is not a building or structure, but rather a timeless collective body of devote followers of God by believing in the atoning work of Jesus Christ. The Church finds her visible, yet imperfect, expression in local congregations where the Bible and the Gospel is preached in its purity; where scriptural discipline is practiced, and where worship and fellowship is maintained. For her perfecting, she awaits the return of her Lord. We believe Jesus has given and empowered His Church to be on the mission of proclaiming the Gospel throughout the world and to make disciples of all nations. We believe the Church has two specific offices: Elders and Deacons. Elders are to shepherd, exercise oversight over the souls of the congregation and have the distinct ability to teach. The other is Deacons, who aid in the service of the ministry both in administrative and spiritual tasks. (Matt. 28:18-20; 1 Pet. 5:1-2; 1 Tim. 3:1-7; Titus 1:5-9; Phil. 1:1; 1 Tim. 3:8-13; Acts 6:1-7)

Resurrection

We believe that Jesus literally, physically, materially, and bodily resurrected from the dead. By Jesus’ resurrection, there is now an initiation of the restoration of humanity. Also through believer’s union with Jesus, justification is promised, the power and promise of believers’ bodily resurrection and new life is provided, and assurance is found in being in the presence of the Holy God for all the rest of eternity. (Mk. 16:1-8; Lk. 24:39; Jn. 21:10-14; Mt. 28:1-10; 1 Cor. 15:20, 23; Rom. 4:25; 1 Pet. 1:3; Rom. 6:4-11; Phil. 3:10; 1 Cor. 6:14; 2 Cor. 4:14)
